For best results with these bare root perennials we suggest starting the roots in pots before planting in the ground. Using well drained potting soil plant the roots so that the top of the plant is near or above the ground level of the soil in the pots. After 3-4 weeks when the plants have put on top growth they can be transplanted to the ground.
