Purple Rain Salvia is a low-maintenance perennial best for sunny locations. Purple Rain salvia is upright in habit, maturing at 24-30". Purple spires of blooms can be seen early summer through late summer. Removing spent flowers helps to encourage a longer bloom season. This perennial root will return and remain in your garden for many years. Salvia plants do well in dry soil and are drought tolerant once established. Be sure the soil they are planted in drains well. Salvia is also deer resistant and is great for attracting butterflies!
