WOW! WHAT A LITTLE STUNNER! I'm really impressed with this plant's ability to thrive throughout persistent hard weather in it's 1st year here. Early last Summer I purchased and received mine. Not only was I fortunate to purchase, but I received more than my share in the baggie. It turned out to be an awful year to invest in landscaping, and our area was hit by extreme heat, drought, and prolonged exposure to forest fire smoke. Most of my brand new plants didn't survive. This one did, and it bloomed! The ensuing Winter ended up being extra cold, long frozen periods we don't usually have, at temperatures colder than our usual zone rating. I was sure all my new landscaping was dying. Well, this spring Pulp Fictions popped up again! And, in spite of another Spring & Summer hotter than we can stand, Pulp Fiction blooms! While the sun in August burned through all the gladiolus in record time, Pulp Fiction continues to bloom! The pollinators LOVE IT! I constantly see several fat black bumblebees at a time hanging out in and sleeping on the flowers! Pulp fiction has consistently continued to bloom several blooms at a time, as long as I keep clipping off the old blooms. I adore this plant, it's become important to our local pollinators (esp w/little choices in this relentless heat (106.9 Fahrenheit yesterday in zone 8A!). THANK YOU TULIP WORLD for offering such an incredibly hardy dahlia! <3 I will be purchasing more once their back in stock! =D
