This fancy, leafy-green edge with pinky-white center and red veins loves the shade but can tolerate early morning and late afternoon sun. The Carolyn Whorton is the ideal plant for use in patio boxes, window sills, or as border plants. Also known as Angel Wings.
You can start these indoors: Put a bit of potting soil, a little water, and the bulb in a plastic bag. Poke a few air holes in the bag and place it near a heat vent (needs 70° or higher). Once all danger of frost has passed, you may plant your started caladium outdoors.
Caladium Planting Tips:
- Plant in a part sun to shade location
- Caladium requires heat in order to sprout. Plant when soil temperatures are above 55 degrees.
