Zone 10 is not conducive to tulip cultivation, especially without a greenhouse. So, if you suddenly decide on tulips, you can't plant without minimum 8-10 weeks of refrigeration. It was quite the treat to find Tulip World had some pre-chilled selections.
Planted these in January and we are seeing buds forming on every single bulb. Very healthy bulbs, most if not all can be divided. Excellent customer service; very kind and helpful.

I bought the pre-chilled Golden Parade tulips and planted the within 48 hours the were pushing up through the soil! I love have plump and fresh they were and their health was obvious by how fast the have started to grow!
