Gardening in Western Washington in the Pacific Northwest. Rain, rain and more rain makes planting bulbs in mud somewhat challenging here, but it is worth the efforts when the blooming begins. The strong stems of Darwin Bulbs are my new favorites and they hold up to our windy, rainy springs here adding color and brightness against grey clouds - stunning and wonderful, in my opinion. Who needs blue sky? No need to water my flowers and plants and they only need a bit of light to grow. :) |
